The Wine
Portugal is known for its big red blends, which promise abundant fruit and spice. This blend of Merlot, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Touriga Nacional doesn’t disappoint… All fresh mulberries and soft smokiness, finished with velvety tannins. The perfect pairing for a warm blanket and crackling fire.
It’s been certified a DOC DoTejo by the local Tejo wine authorities. This designation is only given to high-quality wines from the Tejo area.
The Design
Over the years Quinta do Casal Branco has been a royal hunting lodge, stud farm and winery. The main house is seriously beautiful, with its sweeping staircase, elegant columned terraces and stone coat of arms.
While doing our research (and wishing we had a chance to visit) we spotted some tiles on the outside of the house. When the family sent us some close up photos, we knew we’d landed upon the perfect design… Beautiful, quintessentially Portuguese and perfectly tied to the story of the wine itself.
The Winemaker
Quinta do Casal Branco has been in the same family for eight generations, who have been making wine for over 200 years. Led by Resident Winemaker Joana Silva Lopes, the team is focused on creating wines that capture the essence of the Tejo region… Robust reds, well balanced and with a long lingering finish.
The better way to buy wine
Top quality wines on tap, meaning you can enjoy a glass (or two!) without opening a whole bottle.
Plus, it's the sustainable option too, with each box producing 90% less CO2 than the same wine in glass bottles.
